Description
Red Flamingo Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) - 1-2" Male. Remarks: The red flamingo guppy (Poecilia reticulata) is an excellent choice for those looking for a vibrant flash of red. Juvenile and female red flamingo guppies are typically a muted gold or tan color with subtle hints of reds and yellows in their fins. Some adult females will have fully red tails making even females of this guppy strain very colorful. Adult males stand out with neon red coloration starting in the tail and extending up half of the length of the fish. This color is also present in the dorsal fin and on occasion, can go all the way to the head of the adult males. A perfect starter fish! Guppies ( Poecilia reticulata ) are peaceful community fish that reproduce with ease. They are livebearers, meaning the females release live fry rather than laying eggs. It is recommended.
