Multisquamata Rainbowfish - 2-3" Unsexed. Remarks: Multisquamata Rainbows are found in the Mamberamo River in Papua New Guinea. They are similar to Emerald Rainbows in appearance - males have dark green fins and show yellow-orange lines along the abdomen. The overall color of the fish is darker, however. Once males are mature, they can sometimes get elongated anal and dorsal fin rays giving them a tattered appearance. The fish are omnivorous and should be fed a quality flake food with supplemental proteins such as baby brine shrimp. They require clean water but tolerate a wide variety of water parameters. By providing frequent water changes, you will be rewarded with nearly continuous spawning attempts.
