Silvertip Tetra - 3-4cm. The Silvertip Tetra Tetra is a relatively peaceful & hardy shoaling species and enjoys a planted aquarium in groups of 6 or more. Suited to beginner aquarists this species is impressive in a large group with shimmering silver tips on their fins, hence the name Silvertip Tetra. They make excellent fish for nano and small fish tanks. The Silvertip tetra is native to streams and creeks in the São Francisco basin in Brazil.
