They do best in schools of 6 or more. When fully grown, they are large enough to be housed with small to medium sized barbs, tetras, and some peaceful cichlids. They are adaptable and can handle a very wide range of water conditions. They look great under low-light or blackwater conditions, as their golden stripe pops brilliantly.
