Long Fin Cherry Barb. Source: Aquarium Bred and Raised Estimated size at shipping: 0.75-1.5" Adult Size: around 1.5-2" Overview: Cherry Barbs have been an aquarium favorite for decades. They are brightly colored, hardy, peaceful, easy to propagate, and stay small. The longfin variety accentuates their beauty with long extensions on the tail fin. Barbs, named for the sensory barbels on their mouths, come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Most are peaceful, energetic fishes which add movement and color to their aquariums. They are also some of the hardiest species, making them fairly easy aquarium fish to keep. A few species, like the infamous Tiger Barb, are fin-nippers and have given all Barbs a mostly undeserved reputation as "aggressive." In actuality, most barbs are quite peaceful, especial.
